A Premier Tribute to Stevie Ray Vaughan
Led by Tommy Katona, Texas Flood has become one of the leading blues bands in all of north Texas. Focusing on note-for-note flawless recreations of the music of Stevie Ray Vaughan, Texas Flood takes audiences on a journey through the blues.
Tommy Katona, born in Pécs, Hungary, was heavily influenced by Stevie Ray Vaughan from a young age, igniting his passion for music. Encouraged by his father, also a blues guitarist, Tommy began performing at the age of 9 and was recognized as a child prodigy. He gained early success in Hungary performing on TV and radio and opening for notable musicians. In 2006, his dream of playing blues in Texas came true, leading to performances with Texas blues greats and a move to Dallas in 2007 where he continued to pursue performing, recording and teaching guitar.
