Blackmore’s Night is a acclaimed Renaissance and medieval-inspired folk rock band founded in 1997 by guitar legend Ritchie Blackmore, formerly of Deep Purple and Rainbow, and his wife, vocalist Candice Night. Blending acoustic guitars, mandolins, hurdy-gurdies, shawms, and other period instruments with Candice’s enchanting vocals, the group creates a sound that is both timeless and utterly unique, drawing on Renaissance music, folk traditions, and touches of rock and pop. Over more than two decades, they have released a string of beloved albums, from their 1997 debut Shadow of the Moon to later favorites like Ghost of a Rose and Nature’s Light, building a devoted worldwide following.
Known for their theatrical costumes, intimate storytelling, and warm, whimsical stage presence, Blackmore’s Night offers audiences an immersive journey to another era, where the virtuosity of one of rock’s greatest guitarists meets the magic of minstrel-style performance.
