Five of Broadway’s Finest Leading Ladies Celebrate the Greatest Roles & Musical Selections of ‘The Great Bright Way”
There’s an old adage that states “Behind every great man, there’s a great woman.” On Broadway, it might be more appropriate to say “Behind every great musical, there’s a great leading lady.”
Roles like Elphaba and Glinda (Wicked), Christine Daae (The Phantom of the Opera), Fantine and Eponine (Les Miserables), Belle (Beauty and the Beast), Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly (Chicago), Fanny Brice (Funny Girl), Maria (The Sound of Music), Sally Bowles (Cabaret), Nellie Forbush (South Pacific), and countless others have left an indelible impression on the Broadway stage.
Produced and hosted exclusively for our audience by New York Casting Director Stephen DeAngelis, five of Broadway’s finest female vocalists celebrate the roles and musical selections that underscore the leading lady’s influence on ‘The Great Bright Way.” Scheduled performers are Bella Coppola (Six: The Musical; Smash), Jessica Lee Goldyn (A Chorus Line; Moulin Rouge! The Musical; Hello Dolly!; Tuck Everlasting: Finding Neverland), Drama Desk Award nominee Judy McLane (Mamma Mia!; Chess; The Kiss of the Spider Woman; Aspects of Love), Mia Pinero (Sweeney Todd; West Side Story) and Ta-Tynisa Wilson (Hamilton, “American Idol”). Musical Director/Accompanist will be Jon Balcourt (& Juliet; Dear Evan Hansen; The Book of Mormon). The evening will include musical selections from Hamilton; The Phantom of the Opera; Les Miserables; Mamma Mia!; Six: The Musical; West Side Story; Beautiful: The Carole King Musical; Cabaret; Gypsy; My Fair Lady; Into the Woods; Sweet Charity; Smokey Joe’s Café and much more!!!
